How to narrow down your options
Start by looking at the kinds of tasks you do: text research, document collaboration and ongoing video transfers use data differently, and connection time alone doesn’t show how much data you use. If you have usage history, use the actual figures shown in the panel. If you’re unsure, don’t choose a higher tier just because it has a larger allowance.
Next, consider how often you use the service. For regular access to international websites, choose a monthly plan that fits your usage. If your work comes in irregular bursts, consider a data bundle: its data lasts until used and never expires. Monthly plan data does not last indefinitely, and a data bundle does not replenish with the same allowance each month.
Finally, consider your devices and what you use them for. More devices don’t automatically mean you need the highest tier, but transferring content on several devices at once affects total data use. Account for streaming quality, automatic syncing and large downloads. Check destination platform region requirements after connecting; don’t infer the result from the plan price.
